I have some 11hp Briggs & Stratton engine parts on ebay and I'm surprised to see what parts people mostly view. Here's the parts and from the top that have the most views.

Flywheel
Crankcase side cover
Engine Oil Dip Stick assy
Crankshaft
Camshaft

I would think the flywheel would be the last item some one would look for and the crankshaft would be a hot item. But I guess I'm wrong.

Not much can go wrong with a flywheel. The most likely item to be broke if you don't know what you are doing. I think people are looking for one particular item, and are not in a hurry to get it. I needed a choke assembly for my blower. That is all I needed, and found it. Stan

I used to change a lot of older Briggs over from rope start to electric. You have to change the flywheel. I used to save every 8hp and 11hp flywheel from the engines I junked for that reason. In fact I used to run out of the 11hp flywheels and had people waiting. it was too expensive to buy new.

Some of the flywheels had a plastic starter ring gear that went bad. You can buy new, but its a pain to replace, so just buy another flywheel and replace it.

I needed a camshaft for a briggs. People on ebay wanted as much for a used cam as what others on ebay sold a new OEM briggs one for.

Flywheel is a surprise. How many times does one of those go bad?

I removed my old flywheel from my 13 hp honda, replaced it when I upgrade to an electric starter.
I don't sell on ebay, just buy. I need to see what's a 13 hp honda flywheel going for?

I'm a fan of both ebay and craigslist. Buy more off ebay than amazon. Many of the things I buy off ebay, I can't find locally. The internet sure has changed how I shop.

I've been on a quest to find a cheaper oil filter for my kaw mule. Found filters cheaper than I could buy them for at wally world. I just ordered a case, 12, for $40

JohnB,
I went to ebay, did a search on 13 hp honda flywheels. Some are selling new ones for $45 free shipping. Another guy is wanting $125 for a new one and $12 shipping.

The place where I got my starter kit wants $115 for complete kit, starter, flywheel with starter teeth, genny coil, key everything.

Some were asking more for used flywheels than new.

I found that to be true with used trailers, that's why I bought new trailer.

Crazy what some people want.
