1655oliver headbolt torque sequnce

Can't help you with this particular application, but the rule of thumb is to start with the innermost bolts and work outward.

Generic pattern is start in the middle, working outward (as said) but crossing over to the other side after each bolt. Also about 3 sequences of that to get to final tightening. ie, don"t torque to final at once.

My manual shows starting in middle of head and working out on both gas and diesel like everyone said on middle 1-6 cap screws on direct injection diesel head tighten to 147- 150 ft. lbs. cap screws 7-14 tighten to 129-130 ft. lbs. that includes oil screw. If this is gas engine tighten oil screw to 96-100 ft. lbs. and all others to 112-117 ft. of torque. Hope this helps, Greg
