Update - Was running when parked

My son got the free'58 MF 65 running last night. We first went to get it off the ranch May 24. Had to patch a rim, get some used rears, valve job, lots of cleaning, carb rebuild, wiring,hoses, radiator cleaning, gauges, and fluids. Smokes a litle but has good oil pressure and the 3 pt. works.Still need front rims and tires. Those are old 4X19's on the front now.

When I was a used tractor dealer buying tractors at auctions I got a laugh each time they came up to an old tractor not running and were asked about its condition the auctioneer would state:

It was running when it quit

or

It was bought new

A good one is, The last time it was started it ran.
Used to run like new.
Original condition except, the engine has been replaced, trans, has been overhauled, steering was replaced,
Or how aboot, It was restored with a rattle can paint job, over grease and dirt.

I had a customer buy and old riding mower at auction.Just needs a battery he was told.Plus a starter,belts,spindle's,clutch,clutch switch,blades,cables and just A FEW OTHER ITEMS.

My best one was when the Wife asked what did you run over that made all the noise. My response was I think it was that piece of the block when the rod came through it, she just turned around and walked away
