Factory Tours along I 90 in New York or Mass

Each year when we go with this other couple we take a factory tour. Is there any close to I 90 in those 2 states or maybe one in Maine as we will be there also. Thanks. J.
 
Nothing in Syracuse NY area that I can think of. In fact not much factory work in Syracuse left at all. GM Fisher Body closed, Carrier closed, Lipe RollWay bearing closed. Crouse Hinds is still around but don't know if they do tours. They are located on 7th North Street about a mile from I90 exit where it connects with I81. (Exit 36 I think) They are a shadow of what they used to be.

springfield mass - Smith & Wesson - but I believe you have to contact them and request a tour, they're not just open to the public. These days, I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped doing tours altogether though - but worth a try.

Then there's Friendly's Ice Cream right on 90 - they might do tours, but not sure.
 
also Springfield armory and the Indian motorcycle museum---various shows at the Big E in Springfield
 
Utica, NY has the Utica Club brewery, and they also make the Saranac Brand soda. Illion, NY is the Remington Arms factory. They both used to do tours, if this is of interest, I would Google them to see if they still offer tours. Both are right along Rt 90 just east of Syracuse.

Remington Firearms in Illion, NY. between Utica and Albany. Might be the only time you get to see them here in the original factory as they are getting out of NY and moving to Alabama, eventually. Very interesting tour. You might want to call ahead.
