All phrasings intentional.
Went out to my WD, pulled the carb (so I can clean it). Turned on the gas, nothing was coming out of the line (leaky gas valve I know; figured it had all run out). So I unscrewed the gas line and then uncorked the gas valve from the tank.
And wouldn't you know, all the gas that was sitting in the gas tank came out to visit my arm and the tractor frame and the shed floor!
Looks like I've got some sort of nasty black powdery gunk in the top of the gas valve stem (at the junction inside the valve when looking on from the top, I mean). Wondering if it is junk from the tank, or also partially likely from the failing gas valve seal?
So a WD gas tank is pretty easy to take off and clean, right? Just that strap that goes over the top? Or are there other bolts?
