adding rear remote and quick coupling question

first off, can someone explain to me in a simple way the difference from 1 way and 2 way quick couplings? i need to add remotes on my Massey 245. i have a selector under the seat that looks like this... http://www.ebay.com/itm/MASSEY-FERGUSON-HYDRAULIC-SELECTOR-VALVE-3-WAY-/130391237237?pt=BI_Heavy_Equipment_Parts&hash=item1e5bec6275

i have a woods loader on it that runs out of this selector but the return just dumps back in to the hydo fluid filler plug by the shifter.

what i would like to do is run the remotes out of the other unused spot (and back in to the return?) the only thing i will be using the remotes for, for now anyways is to raise the cylinder on the new idea 290 haybine i am working on. so in this circumstance, do i even need two hoses going to the haybine? so would the return even be needed? and also will running the remotes off that selector even work using the 3 point lift lever?

One way you just use one hose, and two way you use
two. One way is ok for most applications. Or tools
that will go down on their own. I have plumed
another valve in, by running the return line from
the loader valve to the pressure side of the new
valve. Then running the return from the new valve
back into the tractor (where it originally dumped
back in) Ran a 3 point backhoe this way, worked
great. Vic

i really only need to operate a cylinder on the haybine to raise it. it will lower on its own. so a 1 way coupling will let the fluid come back thru it? and will i also need to add another lever/valve or will the lift arm lever be able to be used to raise the cylinder? i have a pretty good idea how most things operate but these hydraulics are making feel like an idiot.

i should also add that i don't want to tie into the lines for the loader because i usually remove it when working in the field and the controls are attached to the loader.

Ask on the MF forum. You need to have an
understanding of the MF hyd. system. There's
several different selector valves that will work
for double acting hydraulic's. You can NOT use the
3 pt. at the same as the remotes if running off
the internal pump because you need the position
control in constant pumping position. There is a
way to run single acting hyd's. using the draft
control lever but there's a lot more knowledgeable
experts on the MF forum. A link that opens or a
picture would be better.

IMHO, the simplest solution is to add an open center hydraulic spool valve inline with the loader valves.

Connect the OUT from the loader valves to the IN of the new valve, then run the OUT from the new valve to the filler plug.

This will allow you to run the loader and the haybine without messing with the selector valve.

If you have any intention of ever using a two-way hydraulic cylinder with the new remote, then get a two-way valve with float. You can then use the one-way cylinder on the haybine by putting the lever in the "float" position to lower it.
