My pup is now 2 years old.

It seems like just yesterday that I lost my old dog. My pup is now 2 years old and as sharp as a tack as they say. I have to watch what I say becasue I think he actually knows what I say. Oh well, maybe I am just a little more attuned to animals in my latter years. Here he is as a pup and at 2 years old.

Looks like a lab as a pup and a shepard as an adult ?

You can tell by looking at him he's got lots of smarts between his ears.

Many times its not what we say, but our tone of voice that clues the animal in to what we are talking about.

They are also very good at reading "body language".

What's his breeding?

Sharp looking pup at two. Our Rusty dog knows what is going both by what we say and what shoes and hat I put on. When I put on my chore cowboy type straw hat he is standing right against the back door. When I put on my Oliver cap he stays down the hall in the kitchen door way waiting for me to say okay and when I do he jumps toward the door. When watching TV in the after noon and he is not in the room and I say to Dixie I need to do chores he will stand in front or me and stare until I get up.

He is supposed to be a Belgum Shepard/ Lab mix. The jury is still out on that one though. You ought to hear him when I play the harmonica. Heck he sings right along. Amazing animals, all of them.
