Hay bale thrower??

That is like the ad, one strange old piece of equipment, I'm really liking that '65 or older Dodge, we had a '65 D700

Neighbor has one. loaded many bales with it before the NewHolland stackwagon.Said it worked well.I have never seen it work, but we talked about loading a few just for 'giggles'!

Very interesting. It takes some ingenuity to make something like that to actually operate and work. Would be a nice novelty at a show to see it work.

I have enough trouble keeping bales out of ponds and streams and roads with a modern thrower. I can just imagine how I would do with that.

My grandad had one! I only saw it after dad made a mount on the side of his grain box! It worked well picking up his small rounds! Truck was a 4 speed with 2 speed axle and dad got that thing loaded good and headed for the stack!

We had a neighbor when I was younger that had one similar to the pic. They used it to pickup the bales, and then stacked in the truck. It was kind of dangerous if the bale hit you. I believe it was made by Snowco in Columbus, Nebr.

Here is the cover of the operators manual for one of these bale loaders. It would appear that the one in the ad is a Snowco like the one in this picture.

Well it makes more sense like that. I was picturing it pulling behind the baler.

i got one, we use it at our tractor show the last 2 years picking up small round bales, it does work not to bad, you have to kinda catch the bale when it throws it up, i will look and see if if i got some video using it

don"t read german but it gives you an idea

My grandfather went from a stationary bale press to an AC Rotobaler. He had what we called a bale picker-upper attached to the side of a truck. It looked similar to this one. Spring arch and cable.
He quit using it when he went to small squares.
