Upcoming auction lists a David Brown 885 diesel, 2024 hours with a Freeman loader. Any thoughts to value? Looks to be in good shape. Parts available? Any info good or bad appreciated.

parts are no problem, great small tractors very easy on fuel, we sold a lot of them here

Snyder Farm Supply sold quite a few of those around here back in the day. There are still some around,as you can see. I never heard a complaint about them. I saw a 990 with a Dual loader sell a few months ago. Brought around $2500,but I think the 885 was probably a better tractor.

Tractor is on an Art Smith Auction. Might take a look at it. It's about the right HP for what I want. There's also a Ford 4000 coming up for auction in August.

We've got an 885 and a 4000 - have had good luck with both of them. Both have been reliable, and good on fuel. The 4000 is a bit more tractor than the 885 though. Around here I would think $3500 would be fair, if in good shape
