The woman and i wanted to move back closer to home so i can to do more farming helping dad after work! So we started renting this old house up over the hill from the farm! A month ago when we first moved in we were both at the house i left with the tractor she came pic me up at the field and took me back to the farm to get another tractor i headed off to the field! She called me said the back door the only door we had a key for was closed which she closed and.locked when she left the side door that was dead bolted was open and the big old front door that was locked was open and a window was open but screens still all in place! Wierd cause when she left all was closed! I said ok maybe somebody had a key and is screwing with us since i kinda knew the people and thier kids that lived thier before! So we changed the lock on the back door and dead bolted all.the rest thought were the only two with a key problem solved untill lastnight! Stopped at the house after worked all the lights were off and i locked the door and left went to the farm came back 3 hours later door open two lights on! Wierd

That is talent, to keep your composure when everyone around you is cracking up...especially the chicken cry part.

Sheriff Taylor, Deputy Fife, and Gomer Pyle had that problem once. Turned out to be moonshiners. In all seriousness you have issues and since the windows are not lockable somebody is most likely coming through one of those. Sometimes previous occupants have a tendency to return even if they are uninvited. People have strange notions as to what they think is theirs even though it does not hold up in the eyes of the law.

lots of people want to laugh at you situation. Yes it could be someone playing with you. However in an old house on my farm there was weird experiences verfired by many others. Not likely but possible something is lets say different. Place nails in window frame and the like. Not just lock doors but place nails in all but one. Maybe when leaving place hidden nail in that door. As to lights maybe tun off breakers. Dont forget and ruin food, freezer and refrigiator. Then you will know and feel more relaxed if it stops , or catch whoever with camera. If it keeps on then there is that possibilty!!!!!!!!!!

I have a sister (divorced) that lives in a large house in Chicago. She's said she has strange things going on. One time another of my sisters stayed there overnight & both CLEARLY heard someone walking in the hallway-- but it wasn't neither of them. Once a repairman was in her part basement, part crawl space. He told her "if you saw what I saw you wouldn't want to live here". Welll... THAT REALLY HELPS... WHAT DID YOU SEE???? I wouldn't have let him leave without telling!

Something I think about every now and then. I wreck houses for a living and have for many years. Where do they go when the house is gone? Do they live at the dump or move next door? Haven't had one follow Me home yet.

the 100 year old house here on my farm is haunted for sure, many different things happen there some like what you are seeing happen, the dog I used to have was up there one afternoon with my cousin, she was working on her putor doing book work for her business and all of a sudden the printer (which she was not using) started beeping and spitting out paper, emptied the whole stack that was loaded in it, right before it did it she said my dog stood up from a deep sleep, hair standing up all over her and was looking right at the printer, after she unplugged the printer the dog wanted out of the house and never went back in again

"...Old House Up Over The Hill From The Farm..."

You never saw that movie? Think starred Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, Bela Legosi, and Boris Karloff, written and directed by Alfed Hitchcock. Man, that was the scariest movie I ever saw, based upon a true story that took place in Nebraska. Case VAC that was rebuilt by the charactors of Legosi and Karloff playing a couple of demented mechanics that escaped from prison after travelling the country killing people. For some reason, the VAC would leave their repair shop during the night and kill homeless people heading to California looking for work during the Great Depression. Lorre was the last homeless guy it tried to kill and run through a pulled hay bailer, when the sheriff played by Price, who sneaked up on it as it was just to clobber Lorre with a starter crank as he ran through some bushes, trying to escape. Price jumped up onto the VAC's back (its seat really), reached under the hood with his pocket knife and cut its plug wires, but it didn't stop because it was a gasoline-diesel hybrid, sort of a frankentractor created by Legosi and Karloff. Then Price got the dristributor cap off, and that didn't work either. What stopped the killer VAC was Price sliding up its hood and shoving his shirt down its breather, suffocating it, then put his jands over its headlights so it couldn't see anymore, and it ran into the lake and drown. That's pretty much where the movie ended, except that at the very, very end, the demented Legosi and Karloff were working feverishly in their garage putting together another monster for a followup horror movie based on a true story called, "Edsel" that starred a very young Charles Bronson, Steve McQueen, and Fred Gwynn.

Good luck with your poultrygeist.

A nephew of mine (single at the time) once owned a farm house where strange things happened.

He said never anything menacing, just odd things. He'd come home from work and find a closet door standing open that he knew had been shut and latched when he left in the morning. Or he'd work out in the yard for an hour or two in the evening and when he went back in the house a chair would be moved in the living room. Or he'd leave a coffee cup sit on one end of the kitchen counter when he went to bed and in the morning the cup would be on the other end of the counter.

This nephew finally moved out and his brother moved in. The brother was supposed to do some drywalling in lieu of paying rent. The two got into a squabble over how much work was being done, and somewhere along the way the house got sold.

There is a lot evil in the world. (Ever notice how devil is just a d away from evil?) It is all human. I have heard many ghost stories. My grandmother used to like to watch her stories (soaps for the uninitiated). All fiction. I have been waiting a long time to see a ghost. I do want to see one before I become one. BWWWAH-WAH-WAH-HAH!

Now, to change it up: the devil is loose in the world; and there's a little of satan in every bottle of alcohol. The devil's greatest trick is having convinced us that he does not exist. I do like my beer and whiskey.

Be careful in your hainted house. No telling what may be lurking there.

Where I live are homes that pre-date the War of Northern Aggression and people have been living here since earliest times. Indians first and then the settlers; this was once part of the frontier. There was a Revolutionary War battle fought here. Lots of people have died here. Heard stories of spirits but have yet to meet one myself. It's the perfect place to make a ghostly appearance, here in this hinterlands backwater. It is a beautiful rustic place, there are lots of bones, but no spirits.

Don't fear the reaper or his minions. He is going to take us all.

i bought a ranch way back in the middle of nowhere a few years back. my favorite idea of a saturday morning was to do my chores, have a steak and eggs breakfast and take a nap. so i always kept a couple of rib eye's in the freezer, so every once in awhile i would go to get a steak and there weren't any, i know i had some cause i keep track to make sure that when i want one, one is there. another thing that was happening was when i went to grab some catsup, there was none, so i used to buy 2 at the store. well in 06 i got layed off and was home all the time, there was this scrawny wet back that would herd cows onto my property during the day, i saw him and told him never to come back again (i speak enough spanish to get by) he kept trying and finally i showed him my gun as i meant business. soon after i come home and im putting groceries away and now i have a stock pile of catsup. that's when it hit me, that little sh!t was taking my steaks and catsup.
when i lived in sf, ca i sensed the presents of an older kind lady several times.
we were remodeling a house in los altos hills, ca and there were times when i was the only one working on the house, i would hear someone walking upstairs, i knew i was the only one there, then one time 2 other people were there with me and we were eating lunch and all 3 of us heard it, we all looked at each other like whoa ! we knew we were the only 3 there. the home owners were the builders and no family members died, nothing strange ever happened there like a crime or anything. who knows. ?
