Seems that iffin ya wants to weed out any weak tires in your fleet, all ya gotta do is start loading gravel. (smile)

Loaded only a couple of days last year and the right 1100x16 gave up the ghost and I have loaded three days this year and the left one ripped out. Both tires did look well used when we bought the tractor, though. Not really surprised. Just another day on the farm...........

yup - friend of mine (several years back now) was driving a dump truck over-filled with pea-stone up interstate 95 near Boston - 5:00 traffic on a friday.

Blew a tire... the added weight then blew the other tires on that side and the truck flipped - spreading pea-stone across the highway - closing it down nice and completely.

Nobody was happy.

Had to replace a front tire on the dump truck we haul TMR with last week. Two $300+ service calls in less than a week. Yup. Just another day on the farm.
