I just replaced the injectors on our 190 today, they needed to be replaced because it smoked like a son
of a b#^%& without a load on it. After I got the
injectors in, I started it, drove it up and down the road and it idles just like it did before I replaced them. It still smokes a little,it idles rough and just doesn"t sound right. Just dropped $600 for new parts so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Every 190 series 3 I knew of, smoked like a fiend from day 1. Of course everyone thought that they should be putting out 140 horse plus too. And we wonder why the rearends didn't hold up....

The injectors were replaced over 10 years ago when it was overhauled, so I just figured they needed to be replaced.

LOL! Just TOO funny, throwing money at a perceived problem it left the factory with!

Perkins engines in Massive Ferguson combines smoked, as well, but still had fair power and GOOD fuel economy.

We ran both Massey combines and Allis tractors, as
a kid. Neighbor had a 706. The German version, and
Dad was forever trying to get the Allis to burn as
clean as the 706. One day we helped them work a
pivot, getting ready to plant alfalfa. The Allis
burned 3 gallon per hour. 706, 4 gallon per hour,
and he was just pulling a spike tooth harrow. Never
heard about the smoke after that.
