Funny pony

My friend and I were out in Ohio a few months back, visiting one of our favorite tractor graveyards.

I was kneeling down, up to my elbows in grease, pulling a gear off an old john deere B when I felt something tugging on my collar, blowing warm moist air down my neck.

Praying to all that is holy that it wasn't my buddy - I turned my head and was nose to nose with this freaky eyed guy.

Amazing how high one can jump from a kneeling position.

I couldn't get rid of the stupid thing. He kept sneaking back up on me knocking all my tools over.

I kinda grew to like him by the end of the day.

He was lonely an wanted you to play with him. I had one just like him he would play by the hours with my Border Collie racing each other and cars that went by on the rd.

The collar-nibbling is all fun and games until he decided to take a bite out of your neck, for no reason at all.

But once you establish that he's not passive/aggressive, he might be kind of fun.
 
I had a pony years ago, Sold an easement to the Electric Co. for some high power lines. When they came to work on it, they needed one guy to watch the pony, she would steal tools off of the truck.
 
we have a minature pony here. he will bully the crap out of the cows and they are afraid of him. Yet we had a cow have twins in the pasture the other day and that pony was standing guard over one of the calves and was very protective of the calf. I picked up the calf to carry it to the barn and the pony was very concerned about how I was handling the calf. He paced me right into the barn and he was nuzzling the calf all the way. Once I laid the calf down and he decided the calf was fine, he just headed back into the pasture. You just never know with critters.
 
Charm tractor - in Charm. He keeps goats and apparently this pony, in there - I assume to keep the grass down.

The owner is amish - not sure if they have a phone number.
