When determining the age of a Briggs engine I'm used to seeing something like 99021305 meaning Feb 13, 1999 in plant, and or on, line 05.
This engine I have here now says "DOM FEB 27 13" Now I think it's fairly obvious this one was made Feb 27, 2013 but does "DOM" stand for "date of manufacture" or a plant location like "Dominican Republic"? Or something else?
Funny the Briggs site doesn't seem to speak of this type of code notation. It's a push mower engine.
