Trying to post pictures of the smoker I just finished, hope this works...

To keep it tractor related, it's painted with John Deere muffler paint, thanks David G for the tip!

That's incredibly nice!! I have a very similar unit, but I bought it already made.

Honestly, the quality of yours exceeds most anything I've seen.

Now that's craftsmanship! Looks like you could put a rope seal on the lid, like a wood burning stove, too if you wanted. Very nice!

Very nice, You could make another and mount 4 steel wheels, some decorative pulleys, bells and whisels, and make it look like miniture old time steam traction engine.
It sure looks like you are up to the challange. Nice job.

I sure like your draft control on the fire box. I have an OLD Oklahoma Joe smoker that is great but the draft control is a real pain. My favorite part if smoking meat is what the garage smells like for a month after I put the old smoker back in there. Smoked meats are my favorite food.

Thanks!

The racks are 1 1/4" floor grating with the ends reinforced with flat strap. They're overkill, but that's what the boss went and bought for it. Not sure where he bought it though.

Thanks for all the compliments! Guess I should clarify, I built this at work, helps to have access to a CNC mill and lathe... And company credit card LOL!

This one was for one of my bosses, so I'm sure I'll be building at least one, maybe several more. Before he took it home, he brought several customers and suppliers in to see it...

Didn't even try to keep up with the cost... I know it was getting up there!

That will work! Thanks. I'm not too sure about the overkill part, the racks are the generally the first thing to go on all the grills that I have had.
