Selling truck

What time of year do you guys think would be good to sell a
truck. I'm surrounded by farms so I think a farmer would
probably be the one to buy it. '89 Chevy 1 ton 4x4 auto 454. I
think it would make a good farm truck and no I'm not trying to
sell it on this site. Mechanically it's in very good condition.

The few farmers left around me usually do not buy anything over 10 to 15 years old.
With more than one guy on the news saying that gas may go to $6.00, it would be a tough sell around here anytime. The only exception would be someone looking for an old field truck and they would not pay much.

25 year old truck, I am thinking it won,t make 200 dollars worth of difference what ever time of the year. It is more finding someone who wants a 25 year old truck. Around here that guy has a lot of ones to look at so you may have to work hard to sell it.

Dirt, If you were in Texas,August is the best time to sell a good old 4x4 pickup! People prepping for Deer Season, and Young Men wanting a First or second Pickup to go to School in! Farmers Ranchers needing a Stand-by 4x4 to feed cattle in during the winter.
What is its condition, Good or is it a salt Rotted out mess of an pickup? Pic? How much$$$$?

It's in good shape few scratches on body and a dented rear bumper mechanically the only thing that doesn't work is a/c it's been converted over to 134a last year and a o ring didn't hold.

Any time of year is a good time. My 1989 one ton with a 454 & 4 speed got only 2 miles per gallon worse than my 2004 6.0 5 speed overdrive truck. I would take the old '89 back any day. That truck will sell to a high school boy around here quick. I have used the craigslist to sell a few items and have had good luck doing so.

A buddy of mine had one many years ago, when gas was $1.20 a gallon. Then once gas spiked up he parked it. How many gallon tank does it have?
I think he said he got 9 MPG city, and 10 Highway.

I will tell you right now, that truck is for a rich man to drive. It baffles me to no end as to why Ford, GM, Chrylser make such gas guzzling pigs. Did they not learn anything from the many energy crisis periods? I think the V10 Ram gets 8MPG.
