Microfiche reader/ parts look up

Anybody still use microfiche readers to look up parts?
I have a large quantity of the parts sheets/film [hundreds].
Most makes.
Wondering if there is much interest in them anymore or have they gone the way of the dinosaur.

I still use one to look up parts. Many will say they are obsolete, but some things will never be digitilized by the OEM's. A rack or racks of cards is easier to look through than a wall of catalogs.

My library has more than a few gaps, and some cards that are pretty tough to read. Email is open if you're interested in selling some or all.

It will take some time to do a list of them all, but if the interest is out there I will.

I will try to get you a general idea of what is there.

Like others have said already, when the machines are too old, and the material hasn't been digitalized, and/or if a hard copy isn't available, microfiche still works just as good as it did when it was the top of the line thing. That being the case, I've got a reader and quite a few of the cards to go with it, mainly GMC/Detroit diesel and Allison transmissions, along with some other misc stuff.

That said, I'd be interested to see what all you had when you get the opportunity to catalog everything. One of these days I might get time to catalog everything I've got in the way of manuals. Unfortunately, for now, I just got done moving everything and haven't even had a chance to organize, much less catalog. Heck, between the manuals, and old parts books (Like the parts houses used to have) I got around a hundred boxes of books, so it might take me a while...

I still use them in my shop.
Make a list of what you have, and put them on Ebay.
I have bought quite a few sets of cards from their and I also, picked a like new reader off of their.

Looks like some good interest already.

I also wondered about this as I have a little bit of JD cards and 2 readers. One reader will even print. I also have no clue as to what this stuff is worth ?

Raining today so I had a look through the boxes of Microfiche.
Probably 70% John Deere and 30% Caterpillar.
Some categories have 1 or 2 microfiche others have 20-30.
Starting with John Deere;
