Gas Prices Where You're At

Here in Minnesota the price of regular 87 octane 3.54
Yesterday the price for about 2 hours was 2.54
I went and filled up my truck and 8 five gallon cans.

Around Charlotte and Concord, NC, it's been in the $3.50 to $3.60 range for a while.

What's strange to me is that if I make a trip to SC, where gas prices are always at least $20 cents a gallon lower because of the differences, diesel is still the same price. Even stranger is that when the price is listed as being the same, it's usually the 'cash price', meaning the regular price is even higher. Didn't used to be that way, but I guess the SC dealers are trying to capitalize on the truckers needing the fuel, and trying to make a killing off of them.

I saw that on my way home from that auction. Prices were around $3.64 all the way. When I got home, cars were backed up all over the place at the Marathon. It was still $3.64 there, but the Shell was empty, gas was $3.99. I figured Bagdad must have fallen to the terrorists.

Bought 87 octane in the town of Halifax Va. this afternoon for $3.259. That's down from a few weeks back when it was $3.399.

Bagdad/Iraq barely provides enough fuel for it's own internal use.

Don't know. I'm watching the 10 o'clock news right now. They just reported on Iraq and said soaring gas prices were tied to what's going on. Said something about an OPEC meeting coming up in a few days.
I'm just telling you what they reported. I didn't write it.

Same in Terre Haute today, $3.67-3.95. My truck needed 25 gallons and I empty gas cans in truck, 33 gallons. Which I filled up at a station that hadn't jumped yet. Guess you could say, I invested in gas futures.

Don't feel too hard done by -

Here in our part of Oz we're on about $(Au) 1.65 per litre (4 litres to your gallon, and dollars about equivalent).

Diesel a bit more usually.

I'm sure OPEC will make up the difference somewhere to stabilize gas prices. $4.00 seems to be the tipping point on fuel prices when people quit spending on other things, like vacations, etc....

Pricey alright but still cheap compared to Canada. Last I heard it was somewhere in the $1.35 per litre range. What, about $6.40 per U.S. gallon? I wish I hadn't checked. How much can I cut back on fuel use on the farm? Not plant as many crops? I don't think so.

Wall Street speculators seizing the opportunity presented by the Iraq snafu. Speculators produce nothing, yet they add a fat layer of cost to just about everything we use.

Guys, Here in South Central Texas.. $3.22 to $3.50 /Gallon! a few place might be higher or lower this is just what I see!

If you think its high now wait a few more years till Saudi oil production declines and we have to rely more on the Alberta tar sands and heavy oil, Which is more expensive to process. We will be begging for gas to be $4 per gallon. I could see (and I hope I am dead wrong) gas going to $6 per gallon by 2020. Then $7 by 2024.

Northern Virginia (Wash DC) regular $3.80 +/-; DC is actually higher.
Go 100 miles south Regular $3.29

$3.93 for unleaded regular and $4.39 for diesel in NE CT.Yesterdays prices when I filled up both vehicles.Worked for fuel yesterday.

1 fringe wacko environmentalist from San Francisco is holding up the Keystone pipeline. He threatened to withhold millions of dollars he gives to the nnalert/communist party if we build it. Our prices went from 3.89 to 3.99 yesterday, and remember when George Bush left office, gas averaged $2.69. external_link threatened to "skyrocket" energy costs, and he is keeping his promise.

Running just under $4.00 a gallon for gas here in Northern NY. But remember, 70 cents of every gallon is tax! That's why fuels are so much more expensive in some states or countries. I've pointed this out again and again and people seem to forget. The others costs, like special blends, shipping, etc., pale in comparison to what taxes do. .

I am 130 miles north of Houston Texas. Regular was 3.45 last night. This morning it is 3.55 diesel is still 3.69. But 15 miles up the road it is 3.41 diesel 3.57. Still don't understand why.

Hi, I didn't see it, but I understand that last week, it was $7.48/US gal in Vancouver, BC.

Regular gas is $5.48/US gal here in Fort St. John, BC today. $6.01/US gal for deisel.

It's going to be a lean Summer...

5.11/US gal. Farm fuel is cheaper anyways. It's ONLY $4.00/US gal. Got some farm fuel in either 2012 or 2013 for .87/L. Still way too much, but you can't help but feel good about it.

My kids are in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Gas ranges from $1.18 - $ $1.30 per liter ($4.46 - $4.91 U.S. gal). Nice getting 'hosed' isn't it.
