watched a cd ,got it from our county library here in nj,,,it was titled King corn,,,it was mostly filmed in a town called Greene Iowa,,,,anyone ever seen it or heard of it?It Was sort of a documentary of two young guys tracing history of corn, and went to Iowa to grow an acre of corn and try to trace its destination. Our library lends movies etc, besides books, you can keep a movie one week for free.It is a good thing. I was just curious if anyone here on the site was from near Greene Iowa

Im about 75 miles from Greene. Been through there a few times.

I haven"t seen that movie, I remember when it came out some of the BTOs were throwing a fit about how those guys knew nothing about crop farming. I figured Id make my own opinion when I saw it.

Yeah, and one of the NY City greenie-weenie-FREE CORN ducks who was involved in the movie swam upstream and is running for congress in our disrict. (puke) This particular duck is a big APA suporter, too. (double puke)

You in NY 21 too Don? Whereabouts? Arron Wolff is the guys name. Tries to pass himself off as a local from over on Champlain who just happens to also spend most of his time in NYC at his grocery store there and making films.

Yeah, suuuuuure you're a "local"...

Yup, Lewis Co. Lowville/New Bremen area. Just about a mile outta New Bremen on RT 812. 'bout all the ducks in the pond right now swam upstream, but this one is the worst.

(all of this duck business is with apologies to Rusted Nuts. He came up with this idea, not me)

Larry, is that the corn that grows about 20 feet tall? If it is, my Nephew grew some for silage. I don't know what he grows now, but that is the tallest corn I ever saw. Said he had to chop it in low gear, and keep the chopper knives sharp.

Nice area. Driven by your door a couple of times on our way to Dundee NY for their Scottish festival. We're a couple of hours northeast of you, near Cornwall Ont.
