HELP! Would anyone happen to know where I could find pedestal bearings for a ford 4000 row crop (tricycle) ? I hear that not many of theses we're produce and some parts are hard to come by.

Andrew,
Ask the fellows on the Ford board at the link below.
And Always mention whether you you have a pre 1965 4 cylinder 4000 or a 65 and newer 3 cylinder 4000.
Two tractors. Same model number. But entirely different machines.
Not one of Ford's better ideas as it confuses many people.

I use Motion Industries and Detroit ball bearing. If you have the old bearings out, get the number off of them, or you can measure them with a good set of calipers to get the Id, Od , and depth and go from there.

Never forget working at a New Holland dealership and the slicker that came in with his Ford 2000. I asked it he knew what year it was made. His answer, "2000, because that's what's on the hood." "sir, I'm not sure you understand, when was it made?" "I just told you 2000!"

He was not pleased as he had recently purchased the tractor in 2003 and was quite upset. He thought it was only 3 years old, "cause the guy I bought it from said it was a 2000, how was I supposed to know?"
