Bobcat (Clark) Starter Issue

I am helping a buddy with a Clark Bobcat 632, it has a 1.6L Ford industrial gas in it. We have replaced the starter with a new one. The starter tests okay, the solenoid checks ok. When looking at the solenoid with the battery post up, the right little post (key) has power when key is turned. The left post has power at all times. Battery is also good but we cant get it to do anything when turning the key.
Thanks
Mike

On Ford systems with the two small terminals on solenoid, one is typically hot always and the other has to be grounded to function. Normally the ign switch has a grounding terminal or there is a separate push button grounding switch. Just unhook the wire from switch and then ground that terminal on solenoid to check .
