I drop the bucket to the ground and reverse tractor to get bucket up to level. have you any ideas or suggestions? all of the other hyd work fine. any questions ?

Since all the other hydraulics work, pretty good chance the problem is in one or both of the bucket cylinders.

Since they are tied together with common hydraulic lines, you'll need to isolate each cylinder to test for internal bypass. A nasty job, but the only way to determine the problem.

Disconnect and plug the lines on one cylinder. Try to tilt the bucket. If it moves and holds, the problem is in the disconnected cylinder. If it does not move, switch the plugs to the other lines, see if that cylinder moves and holds. If neither cylinder will move, disconnect and plug the lines from the valve. Operate the hyd valve and listen for the pump to load. If the pump loads, both cylinders are bypassing. If the pump does not load, the problem is in the directional valve.
