rewired the mf

well i got the to-35 diesel rewired. i soldered and heat shrink-ed all the terminals.

im supposed to get the new ignition switch in the mail today.

i also added a couple of indicator lights, one for the glow plug and one for the alternator.

yea, i know the correct police are gonna be all over me but it's my tractor and i'll do what i want with it. im gonna get an old car style light switch for the headlights and im gonna replace the amp meter with a volt meter since now it has an alternator and i'd rather know what shape my battery is in.

I like wiring, especially if I've got time to lay it out right, put it in wire looms, and solder the terminals. Its just that so many times, something goes south while you're using the rig, and you need to get done with what you were doing, so you cobble it together and then never get back to doing it right.
 
Unless you are restoring a tractor basically for show, there is nothing wrong with a little modernization. Mostly it's better.
