cutting cast

What do you guys use to cut cast I need to cut about 1inch thick maybe a foot long thanks for your help

High speed grinder with cutting wheels! Will take a few wheels. A porta-band might work, depending on the shape of the cast. A band saw would work, depending on the shape and size of the metal. An air-arc would work, but it would look ugly and there would be sparks and slag flying all over.

A diamond coated blade for a sawzall would be the cheapest way to get a decent cut.

An actual Skil brand gear-drive Skil-Saw, with a steel-cut blade. Looks like a masonry-cut blade, but get the steel-cut abrasive blade. Works great.
