With a flat tire waiting for dad to bring me the spare. Or Atleast rob one off another tractor and put the smaller spare on the smaller tractor....

Fear of that crossed my mind today when I was spraying in the farthest field from home at the far end of a half mile field, the 3pt sprayer full. I thought "this would be a REAL bad time to blow a rear tire".

I thought about that last year when I was down in Indiana taking a tractor to a show and blew a tire on my trailer. Fortunately I had a spare with me, sure was a good feeling.

Must be a day for tire fun. I had the tire on my JD disk have a big chunk of tread flop off while working this morning. Fortunately it held air long enough for me to limp it back to get it parked.

Sorry for the poor picture, it was dark out.
But your post reminded me that I probably
should get around to changing some tires.
The yellow you see is the foam filling inside the tire.
At least they won't go flat! LOL

Several years ago I had a JD disc that I pulled up in front of the shop to change the outside bearing on the front gang. I grabbed the pipe wench and the big adjustable and headed to the disc, Oh crap I forgot the pipe. Set everything down turned around went past the tire and got just past the back gang and BOOM! Tire blew! Scared the crap out of me and covered me up with dust and gravel, Didn't hurt me but it sure did make the heart skip a beat. Sure glad I forgot the pipe! Bandit

I'm fairly certain it didn't get much use in the 20 years before I got my hands on it. Works great though. But, I don't disagree.
