fall m project [ long ]

a few of you may remember last fall I posted pics of my 39 m that I planned to work on in my back yard. well as I figured the winter closed in on me before I got too much done. some new seals and other general repair items mostly. well I hit it hard this spring and its coming along well. I sanded prepped and painted it in my garden spot in the back yard and now im working on wiring and lights. its not a show tractor by any means I use it just to play with, light duty stuff and some tractor pulling. some folks said I might not be happy with the results painting it that way, but for a general purpose tractor that will get dirty and dinged over time and use I couldn't be more pleased. thanks to you guys and my dad and friends who worked with these machines when they were new for making this project go smoothly.

thanks. yes they are. I have a super h and a cub, but that old m takes me back to when i was a kid at home every time.

I think it looks good , tractors were meant to be used , and I like using mine and seeing others used . The super shiny clearcoat paint job is unnatural to me , but I do appreciate the work put into those restorations. I just prefer seeing them out pulling a plow more than sitting there looking pretty. Good job.

You did exactly the right thing .. I painted the parts and pieces of my 'H' under clear plasttic sheets in the bed of my old pick-upk, in lawn-mower shed with a space heater inside, under the oak tree...... worked out great.

i pulled on to some plastic sheeting and hung a tarp over it then waited for a calm day to spray it. like you said it work out great
