Took these today while driving around my neighborhood. Looks like less that 50% planted. Drove about 50 miles west and that's about what I found all over. Going to be a tough year for the locals this year. the fields that are planted have a lot of drowned outs or places that were planted around. Even a few fields of corn not combined yet.

Jon, over by us the corn is up a good 6 inches and the alfalfa is looking good in most places. Lot of farmers cut some first crop early this week. Know its still wet in many areas.

We're mixed; some corn up 6" other just getting out of the ground. Beans are up and some haying is starting. I cultivated my corn for the first time and I still have most of it left. LOL!! Did a lot better than last year.

jon, I forget where you are in Mn. I'm in Nicollet co. and we have had enough breaks in the rain to get the crops in. Everything was planted late and in less then ideal conditions but at least we got it in the ground. I finished planting beans yesterday. It is raining as we speak. I have eight acres of old alfalfa that I was going to take 1st. cutting and then plow up and plant to beans but as late as it is getting I will abort that plan and try next year. Just keep putting one foot ahead of the other. The Flying Belgian.

Looks great compared to UP here. Haven't even started spring field work yet. Fields were almost dry enough to work last weekend then we got 3" of rain Sun/Mon/Tue so they are underwater now and its currently raining some more. Thinking that I may just let the fields go at this point because its getting too late to plant much UP here.

Hay crop is looking good though and should be ready to cut in a couple weeks as long as things dry out.
