Diesel rotisserie, alternate title, GOSH that looks like a lot of work, Jim! (Made by the Overpriced Tool Company, no less!)

A good friend of my son, who used to be the best diesel mech you could ever find, has fallen on hard times due to mistakes made with fermented grain and seemingly friendly (but overly fertile) women.

He's been selling his tools at fire-sale prices, to try to make some of this better, and this little gem didn't sell, so my son conned me into taking it off of his hands.

NOT sure what I am going to do with it, 20 or 30 years ago (when hard work didn't hurt the body as much as it does now) I wanted one, now that I've got one, I'm not sure if I'm still man enough to use it!

I thought you were referring to one of these!

and it didn't even come with a fire pit. i think i would have to put a motor on it, i'd get bored turning that handle all day. :] [smile]

I have a friend that teaches at a state Vo-Tech school. They have one that would handle a C-15 Cat like it were a Briggs and Stratton.

I have one made by Kent-Moore for Detroit diesels, up to the V-12. Thing has a double reduction gearbox and my skid loader can barely lift it. Sure is handy tho.

I guess that's what you do when the PTO doesn't work. I guess you'd have a lot different speeds plus reverse. LoL

If nothing else you could probably clean it up and resell it at a
profit. Someone out there will be wanting one sooner or later.
