This is my nephew plowing the pumpkin and sweet corn patch on Sunday. He took to it like a duck to water.

good for him and good for you too !!! who knows it may make a mark on him, he may turn out to be a future farmer. :)
 
Yap , there is not much young blood out there anymore . I plan on starting my grandsons soon -- good stuff-- keep him going
 
I can't take a lot of credit, that's his father, my brother in the picture with him. My brother dairy farmed it until 5 years ago. The nephew, Ryan get's right into it though, says he wants to rake hay for me this summer and wants to be a chicken farmer when he grows up!
 
Brendon, my youngest lad, John aged 11 came 3rd out of nine in his class at a recent ploughing competition. I agree....get em started young they won't forget that first bit of ploughing.....Now get him on to a 65!.........Sam

Tongue in cheek: Plow the ground, Plant the Eggs in the soil, Water, and wait for the Chickens to pop up out of the soil. LOL!

We have a CHICKEN RANCH here where I live, but they sure aren't raising chickens. LOL (Bordello)

There's always got to be one. No seat belts, ROPS, dead mans switch and I bet they aren't wearing SPF 500 sunscreen either! Perish the thought!

Good on both of you Brendon and Sam. My kids have been busy helping with the garden, the bees, the sheep and fencing. They aren't quite big enough to work unsupervised yet, (10-12), but they sure are a help! :D

Hey Brendon, you get the "little shower" last night? Must have been well over an inch in 30 minutes.
 
Bret, hearing loss from lack of hearing protection in totally preventable. Wish someone would have enforced it on me growing up . I wouldnt be constantly asking people to repeat themselves. sorry you feel that children could be injured due to ignorance on their guardians part. Bill
