IH 5088 electrical drain

I'm working on an IH 5088 that drains the batteries over a couple days of sitting. What could be causing an electrical drain or how do you find it? Maybe someone has experienced something similar? Any suggestions what/where to check would be appreciated. Thanks.

Insert a test light or volt meter in place of battery ground cable and light should light up. Then start disconnecting components until light goes out. When light goes out you've located the drain.

First thing that comes to mind is the domelight or it's door switches. The groud circuit for that light runs down both center pillers, out side the cab above the tires and then back inside to the switches. See if those little looms are intact if the light is staying on.

Positive diode in the alternator second (easy check with an ohm meter).

Divorce the batteries (unhook the left battery grouond strap) and then on the right battery use the test TX Jim suggested.

I put in a battery disconnect switch to keep little trouble-makers out for a visit with my boys, from more trouble. I think it's work to protect the battery too.

Also,

If the tractor has been in the mud, the tires will throw crap on top of the batteries, which can bleed across the posts.

Just to clarify Jim's method disconnect both negative battery
cables and then insert a test light between one of the
disconnected battery cable terminals and its post. I like to use
a test light with a incandescent bulb, those with a LED are a bit
sensitive for this. And if you have a working dome light in this
tractor that comes on when the cab door is open you will need
to disconnect that circuit first otherwise that will null all other
circuit tests. Hope this helps.
