Whats the best way to clean the screens used to prevent grease from getting into the motors of the over the stove fans?

Dishwasher works fine. In the kitchen of the restaurant I grew up in the big ventilator above the stoves required steam to do a really good cleaning job. Dad would run them to the local IHC truck dealer and use their Jenny.

Clean them with some hot water and Cascade dishwashing detergent, it cuts that grease really well.
