I was walking thru out local Rural King store last week and saw this hanging on a shelf corner. I bought one and love it. I'm able to use my 6 gallon gas can again. So I thought I'd share this with everyone.
New Gas Can Spout
 
Very nice to see those, I hope they show up in stores around here, if not I will order a few. The only thing they could have improved on is making the flex hose clear but that's not a big deal.

I hate the new nozzles/vent system (or lack of), the ones with the push valve are easy to take the safety off but you still have to deal with no vent. I ordered some DIY vent caps that you install on existing tanks, those are nice. I kind of like the nozzles with the shut of valve, its at least quick to shut off when you have the can upside down.

After the list of states where you can't buy the GAS can spout, they say you can buy the WATER can spout. I clicked, and the kit is identical, except the spout itself is white, not black. Even has the filter (who would ever put a filter on a water can?). LOL

Better buy it fast, before the feds close the loophole...
 
Have bought a couple for work; they MAY FIT your existing container. The threads on our container were slightly different and larger so used the old nut. It is easy for the new spout to leak so have to hold my tongue just right and not put any pressure on the spout while filling the gas tank.
 
bought a water cab spout at TS as mentioned but must be used with a vented can. If not, takes a little while longer to empty. Still better than the new spout that wouldnot let any fuel through no matter where it was turned
