OT/some resolution

As you know, I posted some days ago about dealing with an issue here. I had a long visit last evening with the head of our town"s police department. I think the meeting was very productive and there is now a much more "balanced" view of the situation.

I believe God Almighty was there and guided the visit, otherwise it might not have been so positive. I am most grateful to our Lord for that and wish to give Him the glory for it was His doing.

Nancy,I have no idea what your problem was,but I love your faith in God.A couple evenings ago,my wife and I went out to dinner at Golden Corral and there was a large family there also with several small children.The father had a T shirt on with LARGE print spelling Mother F****R on it.The people in Golden Corral all complained and the manager gave him a choice to turn his shirt inside out or to leave the restraunt.I was proud of the people and the manager,he left but not until him and his wife made a scene.Im afraid those children have already been courpted.

I see it at auctions and other events; father F this and F that and the kids standing right beside him. We've lost a lot even after the 60s. It's getting worse.

Speaking of neighbors. Same one for close to 40 years now. Heard about her just before I bought the house but was in a real bind for a house. Tried to be civil first couple of years. Then her kids started coming over hanging around and liked being over here better than home. Been hell ever since. Doesn't say much to me, but loves to rag on wife when she is in the yard. I put up a privacy fence many years ago. Then things really hit the fan. She has called the cops on us so many times you can't count.
Final straw, she called game conservation dept in St. Paul. Local ones just ignored her. She told them I had 50 pheasants in the freezer and bringing my limit home three times a day. Officer came out, had wife clean out freezer. Saw we had way below possession limit, apologized and left. I got a court order for her to quit harassing us for two years . It was quite for all. Now she likes to sit on her step and make remarks at wife but doesn't say anything when I am around. Funny thing, I think if the sheriff would just go over and tell her to shut up she would. But they all just kind of pander to her.

We had a problem neighbor across the street.
Was always calling the cops for one thing or another.

Then one year I put a pumpkin man like pictured.
Everyone was slowing down to look at it. School bus driver even stopped and took pictures as all thought it was a great seasonal decoration.

Neighbor was not so happy. Cops came out as she wanted me to take it down.
Cop told her lets get this straight lady.
We are tired of coming out here over nonsense.
Call us one more time and you will be going to jail for harassment.
Haven't heard a word from her since.

Hey, I like that pumpkin guy. Wife has about four of those forest faces you put on trees. Of course one happens to face this particular neighbor and she called the cops who told her it was just Halloween decorations, but she still has problems with it years later.

One of the things we can do to help return to sanity is to self police this place. There are lots of people that like to use disguised profanity here. There was a post with a guy using the word mentioned in the OP here. I hit the "Report to Moderator" twice over 2 days but the same people that poof anything political must have thought that type of language was just dandy cuz it's still here. Say something when you see people doing it. Otherwise your silence equals approval.
