I have a presolite distributor model 1bt 4406 7r.
Having trouble finding the rotor. It s a 4 cylinder, gas

Since you have the dist #, a REAL auto supply should be able to look it up for you.

If there is an independent auto supply in town, as in one with books and someone that can still read a book, or at least look at the pictures...LOL They should be able to order it.

Forget the Auto stores. Prestolite distributers were very common in many brands of tractors. Go to your local tractor supply company and they will probably have what you need on the shelf.

Mind telling us WHAT the distributor is used on?

Looks like the typical rotor used in the IBT series is Standard Ignition AL-167, though.

ALL sorts of places to get those on the 'net, even Amazon. And 'most ANY auto parts store can either get it in Standard Ignition, or cross the number the their brand.

I've GOT the book. They are listed by the manufacturer of the ENGINE, NOT by the Prestolite distributor number, though!
