2,4-D results

I've applied a couple of test applications and thoroughly read all available information on application of 2,4-D but no where do I see how much time before results are seen. Can anyone give me a guess as to how many days before I see some kill down?

It usually shows up as wilted broad leaves by the end of the day if the weather is good.
Been spraying it since the 60's.

I'll add that it is dependent upon environmental factors such as ambient temps leading up to and following the application as well as rainfall leading up to and following application.

Rates applied also make a difference.

I agree with others on showing in a few hours, but have found that if I spray when sun is hot it takes a bit longer, sometimes a day to show up.

It depends on growing conditions. 2-4 D has to be transmitted from the leaf to the root causing the root to die. If growing conditions are good, this can happen very quickly. If its cool, or cloudy, it can take longer.

Example - May 11 I sprayed an area on the farm with GrazonNext. Then had rain Monday & Tuesday, with cloudy, cool weather most of the week. By Saturday morning, could see some results, but not much.

Then Saturday was warm and sunny. By Sat evening the weeds were cratering fast.
