2 more questions: Power Steering Cylinder and PTO Repair

Thanks to everyone who has answered my questions. I really appreciate it.

There is a 3/4 inch wide depression in the end of the piston for my steering cylinder. I can't remember if that goes on the cap end or the other end of the cylinder?

On my PTO unit, I am replacing the quad rings. But while I have it apart, I want to make sure anything that can leak hydraulic oil is fixed. I wonder about the seal in the bearing support, and the little O-rings between the bearing support and the PTO housing. Any thoughts out there?

Thanks again for all the help.

Some cylinders the depression goes over the rod, some the nut goes in the depression. Could theoretically change the stroke by 3/4 inch. Should be able to tell which the nut came from. If you have a rebuild pic maybe able to tell from that. Cup seal in the rod guide goes with the cup to the oil pressure.
