Just finished processing 20+ Cornish X Rocks. Dang! those chickens grow fast. I had never guessed that a chicken could grow so fast . Every other chicken I have ever raised never grew to 'killing' weight in 7 weeks. These suckers did!

Heck, I averaged, Fully dressed chicken at 8 lbs.

Got a hen on the Rotisserie now...she'll be ready in about an hour.

wow you sure beat me. My chicks are due for delivery June 3rd. After the plucking come the hard work - the clean up!!!
 
They are crazy growing birds. I've tried to keep them until they dress out about 10 lbs as that makes a great roasting chicken. Problem is I've had some just up a die before getting them butchered. I didn't get any this year. Been such a cold spring and birds show up at places around here in early April. They've got to get pretty big before they can come out of the brooder when its as cold as it has been.I like you plucker.
 
Jennifer- I love that plucker. I was going to build a whiz-bang style tub plucker but, I would've had around $300 in it. I bought this thing for $40 and it does a great job. Sure beats plucking by hand.

Jennifer408- This plucker works great. Using it, I can pluck a chicken in around three minutes

Plus, if you shave some questions???I might be able to answer.

Otherwise, I found a vid on utube on using this thing.
