Another bobcat 743b question.

According to the bobcat site specs the 743b has a 1300 load rating and 2600lb tipping rating. Question is, will a 743b lift a 1 ton pallet of feed or seed off of trailers or pickups without tipping forward? According to the specs it is more than rated load, but less than tipping, but in real life I would like to know if it can handle 2000 pound pallets. I would like to find a 8 series but a 743b came up for sale in good condition, just wanted to know what it is capable of. Thanks for any information.

My 4635 Gehl had the same specs. It could lift 2x2x4 concrete landscaping blocks that weigh 26-2700 lbs, but only high enough to move them around. Certainly not to lift over a foot, the skiddie would tip. I tipped them up on edge and used them for holding gates to make pens. Cows didn"t budge them.

There's no way, our 853 will only pick up about 1800lbs off of trailers or pickup boxes, our 853 tips when picking up 2000 so I know a 743 won't pick it up..... Hang a few suitcase weights on back then it probebly would, hang 600-800 lbs on back put 3 or 4 suitcase weights on each side behind rear tires make a bracket and hang them, that's what our new s650 has

No! The pallet forks put the weight out too far. A ton is a lot for an 800 series too(1700 lb). I've tipped forward on the side of a dump truck loading wet clay with a 1300 lb rated machine. A little scary but at least my machine has a full width seat bar. It didn't tip until I was almost high enough to dump it in the truck. Had to dump the bucket while it was leaning on the truck box. A few buckets later I did it again. I'm not sure if the rating is at the hinge pins or out a ways like a forklift rating but you might be OK with 1000 lbs.
