Death Smoke.....

I got a wisp of "Death Smoke" from my M-1031 military Chevy diesel this morning... Been a couple of years since any problems, just it's time today.. Went to glow the engine and a wisp of smoke came out the grill.. Grrrrrr.. Smoked up some glow plug wiring.. Well , I have new plugs to install and some new wiring with smaller spade terminals and heat shrink tubing.. I hope they come out without having to pull injectors to remove pieces of glow plugs..

You need to eliminate that awful military glow plug wiring and stick in some AC60Gs. Beru of Germany makes them and AC Delco rebrands them.

I tired of messing with the glow plugs on my military 5.2 diesel so I went to a starting fluid kit that uses a canister of ether plumbed to a solenoid and to a nozzle in the air cleaner. Now it starts instantly, canister should last a long time and is available at any parts store. Total cost under $100.

There MAY be an easier fix...

LUCAS smoke is pretty universal and, if you can still find a NOS kit, it will solve your problems with NO worries of broken GP's!

BOB.... I can't bring myself to try this stuff by Lucas.... That's why Brits drink warm beer... They have Lucas refrigerators.......It can't possibly work !!!!!!
