Is Spring going to Get HERE

Weather for the most part is spring. Lots of corn in and a few beans. Have tomatoes, peppers planted in garden along with potatoes and onions and sweet corn that isn't up yet. Had frost last night and calling for freeze warning tonight. Had the "wall of water" on the peppers and tomatoes. Looks like they got nipped a little last night, so tonight will probably put them in.

Fruit trees are blooming, so will probably not get any fruit from them.

Really not sorry for the BTO's that have corn up, but they probably will be covered by insurance that the taxpayers subsidize big time.

Coolest spring I can ever remember. Had a cold front come through n central Tx on Mon. Actually turned the heat on for a while this morning. Really?!!! Running the furnace in mid-May? Crazy.

The fellas around here, including me, are nervous about putting beans into soil that's 37 degrees in the morning. We had light frost on wed morning. Jim

pretty much Randy , the only plus side to last year was that the summer in mich lasted an extra two months.

Very little corn, a few oats and certainly NO beans in around this area of SW Ontario. 1.5" rain today and it wasn't near dry before that. Looks like June will be busy again. Two and three years ago we planted eveything in June and got away with it....not sure how often you can keep doing that. We will need an "understanding" Sept. We are cooler again today with a couple of nice warm days earlier in the week so I don't feel we have really missed too much growth.

Predicting 32 and frost tomorrow morning, and we're in SOUTHERN Michigan. Coulda planted beans Monday, glad I didn't now.

Hit 36 degrees crossing 40 in New Mexico and Arizona this am. Was 93 before pulling out of Phoenix this afternoon. And yet west Michigan, home, is under a frost advisory tonight.

Here in NY catskill mts our fruit trees haven"t blossomed yet, leaves just started the beginning of the week, next few nights down about 40. Mowed the lawn for the first time last weekend. We always plant memorial day weekend to avoid frost and it doesn"t grow till then anyway.

My "scrub" apple trees are just beginning to bloom.
Seems like a week or two later than usual.
Lilacs are a bit later also.
Compare lilacs today to those on May 10, 2002.
Not only were they out more fully then but they had
a little added decoration as well. LOL
