OT 330 gal totes

O T any body near Floyd Va. that could use 5 330 gal. plastic totes [food grade] they are cheap .have to be picked up soon , they had wine in them
 
Too bad your not near North Texas, they are selling here for up to $150 bucks a peice. Poeple using them to store ANY rainwater we may get
 
anybody that has a trailer to haul them is selling em. I bought one 4-5 years ago before the drought got really bad, paid $75 for it. very popular item right now. I think most are beig hauled in from West Texas area and from crop dusting places.
 
Auction last weekend, 2 went for $45 each. Not brand new, but awfully good shape.

I should have grabbed them.

I've just got my hands on one of these. I'd like to store my diesel fuel in it. Do you think algae will grow in there? Would it help if I kept it out of direct sunlight?
 
One of the guys I used to work with, lived in the sticks in a house on a weak well. The well was uphill from the house, so He took one of those tanks and mounted it on a pedestal about 4ft off the ground. That put the bottom at about roof level in the house. He fed the tank from the well with a 1/4" pipe on a float switch to keep the flow low. He put a booster pump between the tank and house. The nice thing was, if the power went out, he had 300+ gallons of water.
