Did some laps around the yard on the Holder

Put some more time on the little Holder tractor this evening. Still working a few of the bugs out. Carb starting leaking real bad so I pick up a kit from my local NAPA store today and got that taken care of. The guy at the NAPA store just shakes his head every time I walk in cause he knows he's going to have to get the books out to find what I need never even looks at the computer. Calls me Old Stuff and once ask me if I had ever work on anything newer than the 70's. I told him I try not to:) Still got a few things to sort out before I tear down to paint it like a noisy hyd pump. Next project might be putting that 223 six cylinder in my 63 Ford 2000. Don't think I can do that in 2 weeks might take 3 lol. Hope ya'll have enjoyed this project. Stay tune for the next one might build something with just three wheels!

Yep. I should have posted this down stairs. Figured I would catch a lot of h#%l up here about doing the engine swap and not overhauling the engine that was in it. But parts for a worn out 50 something year old built in Germany Sachs 2 stroke diesel are a little hard to come by. If you look down on tales I posted pictures of the engine swap. I built all the pieces including the drive hub in my small shop here at home

Yeah me to. Takes it about a month to leak down. I've chased that leak so much I just gave up. Going to get a new one real soon. Wish I could find some that were not made overseas. I guess it helps to have a sense of humor about things. Everybody that walks in the yard tells me that tire is flat.

Very nice A10. Good job on shoe horning in that replacement engine.
I got its 2WD sister, a 1956 Holder B10D.

I think your right, thst would be good in the garden,,,,how much to ship it up here? You dont have to paint it unless your gonna paint it blue and white

Supper re-power, that worked well. Don't know if you are aware of this or not, but you can gain a few more ponies by changing the cam to a 18 hp cam from an old ohv engine. Garden tractor pullers do it all the time. Keep up the good work..

I really like it! Would be fun to have one.

Daughter... not so much - she said she'd rather have a horse. (I can promise, that will not happen.)
