Seen on the road

The first pic didn't come from me, but the second I did take in Toledo this evening. I just missed getting a pic of all the cops with guns drawn, and just after this was taken about 15 more cars showed up lights and siren. Gotta say I was ready to duck!!

Gee, I don't know what was greater, the chance of getting struck by a stray bullet or a half inch drive ratchet and sockets when that tool box lets loose.

WOW! For $19.95 + .50 cents per mile, you can rent a U-Haul Ford f-150 to move that.

The stupidity of some people.

Allan- Knda like...Have tools, Will Travel!

Or, maybe he is a Road Service mechanic!

If it is Snap-on it's pretty expensive.

I gotta think that box is stolen, can someone really be that stupid. My neighbor changed shops a couple of times, had a flatbed wrecker move his boxes.

When that many cops converge on a vehicle like that, they have a good idea that something serious is going on. A friend and I were in a restaurant in Atlanta some years ago when they pulled a Mustang across the street, (we were sitting right at the window), they then proceeded to remove the seats, door panels and pretty much the interior of the car, as well as the strip the trunk. When we left the restaurant, they were still looking.

Around here the towing companies will transport boxes/tools free as long as its not real far (that guy is not going too far). I think they assume that if they can keep you happy then you will use their services, its good PR and it works.

I absolutely hate cops. If you get stung a couple times too, you will too. These mother/fu--ers are not about you going about your marry day business, they are all about hauling your a$$ to jail. Been there done that. There will not be no cops called to my place. Don't need them there, and will not have them there.

I pass by on the toll road often. This was off I-75 at exit 199 then NE. a bit. The place I picked up at was off 2 by 280.

Kinda thought it looked like somewhere out in that area.

I can see(and hear)the turnpike out my front door. I'm about a mile or so from the SR2, Swanton, Toledo Airport exit.

My Snap-On boxes have grease fittings on the casters.. Typical mechanic.. His stuff gets attention last.... Good thing it wasn't a Deere tool box.. One of the guys at Hine Tractor [1980] bought a new Deere box, walked it across the mid floor grate and folded a caster up underneath and spilled about half a ton of tools.. Good thing "Scooter" kept his old Mac Tool box...
