Heading Home

It has been a very good week work and weather wise in Arizona. I did have to figure out a detour in Phoenix this morning due to closed freeway, but that went well.

The yard will need mowing and I have raspberry bushes to put in when I get home.

The fuel tank for the MH44 will be ready to pick up Monday, so plan to get that painted this week, fuel up and run next weekend.

Thanks.

I have a Red variety called "SK Red Mammoth".
The berries last year were over one inch long and over one inch wide.

We don't have a very big patch, but pressure canned 38 quarts and 60 pints.
Just delicious!

Hope the pictures upload.

Hard to tell from the photo, are those the Thornless variety?

When I was a youngster we (family) went back to the "family farm" in Virginia and there was a huge Raspberry patch alongside the path to the Barn. Berries were great but the bushes had big thorns and even bigger Spiders.

No, these are not Thornless variety.

I will try to upload another picture that did not come through in my first reply. (Some of the canning from each picking.)

Looking GOOD! Next couple of batches, time to start making some Raspberry Wine, or Raspberry Syrup for your pancakes & waffles. LOL!
