Mushroom Season 2014

Right around Mothers Day I keep an eye out for the Morels. This year hit the jackpot in one spot -- found more in this one patch than all of last year. Warm weather plus rain is what helps them grow. Give about half to family/friends and enjoy the rest fried up with flower.

Have a buddy that always talked about them.. Never knew I had them down in the draw..He scored a paper bag half full last year.. I havent seen any this year yet but is dry..He fried them up and I had my first last year.. Very Good..

When I was very small, my dad was stationed at Chanute Field. He was raised in Indiana. Even though I was very young, 4 or 5, I remember going mushroom hunting and very well remember how good they were!

I go out every year when the may apples come up and get fruit which is right about now nice lot you have there
