Stuck Clutch?

A friend needed help. His tractor (28 HP Ford, diesel) acts like it has a stuck clutch. He puts it in gear and with the clutch pressed down he still moves forward. He can see in the site hole that the clutch is separated from the pressure plate. He thinks maybe the pilot bearing is rusted to the drive shaft. He tried to break it free by putting a load on the tractor with no luck. Anyone have anything like this before?

Is it leaking oil or anti-freeze...if it is the clutch could be wet and causing it to stick to the flywhegl ...the fix...repair leak ..soak clutch plate w/ brake clean..

These tractors are known for this.Try to get it started in gear and run it around, they usally free up.Your suppose to block the clutch down when not in use.Ask me how I know
