farmall h radiator

Just got my h restored and drove it down the road and the radiator shifts side to side and causes the fan to hit the guard. Any one ever experience that?

The bottom two bolts on the radiator should hold it solid. The two bolts have a spring to keep everything snug. Did you put the pads and springs in?

(quoted from post at 18:26:40 05/03/14) Is the radiator moving, or just the shroud? Is it an IH original, or aftermarket radiator?

Its an after market and I mad rubber pads. The bolts are tight. The whole radiator will slide.

Most aftermarket radiators don't fit the way they should. If I had to take a guess, Id say the studs aren't long enough on the nut end, and you don't really have it tight enough to hold it down, OR your pads are thick enough. I really think the latter is the problem.. It should move much to start with with the grill on right, which can be hard with the aftermarkets.

I just took my H radiator off last week. If the bolts are tight that radiator can't move.
