Wow, that little, based on that I would guess parts are hard to get and or they do not work very well?

Looks like it would work well enough, I am guessing those low prices are based on an assumption by the buyer that he would be replacing a lot of parts (bearings and blades at the least) and that would add up fast. I am sure you could find parts for it, not necessarily OEM.

It seems to be in decent shape, there are at least a couple disc blades that need replacing, but they are asking around $350 for it, which I thought was cheap, but blades are not cheap. Do they work fairly well? I am working 10 to 15 acres of hay field a year on my rotation so it is not like it is going to get worked very hard.

It will do as good a job as any other disk out there.Parts availability may be why they dont bring much.Parts should not be a problem......As with most things, if it doesnt say "John Deere" on it,most people think its junk.Btw,the worst disk I ever owned was a JD(plow, too),the best has been Oliver

That would be a $750-$900 disk in my area of MN. The wildlife food plot folks brought the price of those implements right back from the dead.

Boy, is it a small world. I've been driving by that disc for 15 years and wondered if it could be bought. Just today I see they pulled it up and put a sign on it.
Like delta red says, round here 500 to 800.

That is a Case S series disc manuactured during the mid 50's. They were great discs which had enough weight and flex to provide years of dependable service. That looks like a nice one.
As stated, the small organic and food plot people are driving the prices for small discs like that up to $750-1K., for a clean one like you picured.

Very good discs. I have one just like it and a newer 14' with roller bearings as well. They were about as good as a disc got for that time.

Thanks for posting the pictures of the Ad for it, now if i can make a deal i will have more info on it as well. Seems like a really good deal.
