Friend brought this to me in Nov. and I finally got it done. I think he hooked it up to the planter a couple days after I returned it.

She looks really good. Had the honour of doing a similar project on my BILs 4440 almost 15(!)yrs ago. They are one great tractor aren't they?

A friend of mine has one of them 4440's that he tractor pulled with in the "80's-90's. Had three Mack turbos, water injection, mildly tweaked fuel system and transmission modifications that he and only he knew how to fix/work on!! Was called the "Super John" and had a toilet seat with tractor tires paint theme on the hood!! If I'm not mistaken, the red line needle on the turbo boost gauge was at 250 PSI!?

I have a friend who has one of those, he bought it a year ago, last fall he lost 2nd gear, he thinks the trans has to be torn down to repair, I was wondering if it could be something easier like linkage??? Anyone with ideas, i would like o save him some money if possible.
