Went to start the JD 2040 yesterday. Dead battery. So the question is: how many batteries do you have in your equipment/trucks etc?

I have 10

I can go 2-4 years without needing a battery. Then it seems as if half the batterys on the place fail all at once!

Stopped counting at 18, didn't even start counting the small stuff ! Seems like I have to buy a couple every season. Helps a bit to 'share' I've got three machines that share a pair of batteries plus two seldom used old trucks that I have to yank a battery out of something else when we need the truck.

37 batteries and 2 tractors dont have any since dont use offen, they just share.seems like we buy about 3 a year. the farm tractors and grain truck we run Caterpillar batteries they seems to last 7-10 years everything else is rural king or napa.

A quick count I came up with 22. I've already bought 2 new ones this spring. I need to replace a few more. Now tires would be a bigger question!

37 in equipment that we use at least once a week and maybe a few more in stuff that we only use on an annual basis.

Just sitting here I counted 32 wet type lead acid. Oh yeah swathers 34, Oops forgot quads 37, can't forget electric fencers and auger 40, Oh yeah the boat 42, and of course the grass cutter and the stock trailer 44 out of that about 34 are good to go, the rest of them share sesonally or as needed.
And the threee tons 46...

Quick count says 11. Subject to recount.

Think you got a lot of batteries sometime count up the number of tires of all types you have to maintain. It can be scary!

I counted 14, and 2 need replaced now. Between tires, and batteries this hobby will keep a man broke.

5 in the boat (one for each engine and 3 house batteries), one in the dinghy, one each in the 3 cars and one truck, one in the lawnmower and one in the tractor, total of 12, but I also have at least two in my shop, just sitting around, probably dead. Don't know what they go to.

I have 8 all good ones that I keep inside for the winter months . I buy them from the local scrap yard and they are all load tested for $30.00 each most of the time they have 1000 amps

At a rough count in my head I think about 15 if I include the lawn tractor and trike. Some batteries are shared between several vehicles that are not run regularly. Can't hardly afford to have a battery in every powered vehicle on the farm.
